Today was awesome! We hiked a lot of trail, rather than making our own, and climbed up to 8000ft for some cool air.
We could see a very large active mine, that is too far to large for words to explain.
It was nice to hike next to shade providing trees, and cool breezes. Raisins and I are beginning to adapt to this environment, although it is not easy. He is from Maine, and I live on the beach in so cal. So we are drying up, so to say.
We are both excited about making our way to the Gila River. Tomorrow morning though we will walk into Silver City. We are camped along a highway just out of view of the traffic. Not quite the wilderness experience, but we are eager to get to our boxes at the Post Office.
