Gila River

The Gila River Canyon was some of the best hiking I have ever had. We really slowed down and saw the sites.

Doc Campbell's has awesome ice cream, and we did not stay long.

We went to see some unimproved Indian dwellings, the Indian dwelling national monument and checked out the petroglifs. We walked a slot canyon back to the Gila, and sat in the best hot springs I have ever seen.

We saw bear, elk, deer, trout, turkey, and a lot of rattle snakes.

The Gila is awesome and it is a shame they pulled the trail out of the canyon.

Now I am on my way to Pie town and carrying large loads of water up and down steep hills in the blazing sun...
